Sports Performance classes emphasize the importance of proper running mechanics, form, technique, and posture. Athletes become faster, stronger and more explosive as well as work to prevent injuries by learning how to run correctly. It is a well-known fact that the dorsi- and plantar flexion action of the foot, is a characteristic of sprinters. To improve on the working capacity of the tibialis anterior, extensor digitorum longus, peroneus longus, soleus and gastrocnemius that do most of this work they have to be strengthened and have a greater capacity to apply force faster. The dorsi flexion action is not merely a lift of the toes, but rather a lifting of the front part of the foot. The plantar flexion action is not just a downward movement of the foot; it has to be done in such a manner that it applies maximum force against the ground in the shortest possible time. We strive for efficiency of human movement through the enhancement of functional movement, and correction of imbalances in sports and life. All our instructors take the time to continue and upgrade their education about training athletes. With speed and strength as our main focus, we provide each athlete the opportunity to become physically the best that they can be. In addition, we give information on nutrition, goal setting, mental toughness and many other attributes that make up the complete athlete. We have the right program or service to help both individuals and teams reach top performance.
I believe that the difference between a GOOD performer and a GREAT performer is effort, determination, and an unrelenting drive to succeed. It is the things done when no one is looking and when everyone else is resting that separates champions from participants. The hard work and time to devote to your performance now will pay dividends in your successes later, whether it be through a lucrative professional sports contract or the immeasurable value of higher education.
